SHOE design legend Manolo Blahnik may not show his latest collection on a catwalk, but that doesn't mean we are any less desperate to see the pieces he has in store for us this season. Spring/summer is inspired by a range of inspirations: the flats by Audrey Hepburn, some of the stilettos by old Hollywood glamour, some of the adornments by Spanish architecture, and one style even by Einstein's tongue.
"My favourite style is the Gloton in polkadot," Blahnik told VOGUE.COM. "This is a great summer shoe, which I have always loved, and variations of it have always featured in my collections. I recall a shop in New York, which sold beautiful wrapping papers with colourful polka dots. The shape of this court shoe is very classic, but at the same time versatile. You can wear it to work as well as for a night out and I like the primary colours on it, they are bright and punchy. It brings a smile to my face when I look at it and I hope it will do the same to women when they put the shoe on."
And the rest of the collection similarly foregrounds Blahnik's main concern - that the shoes you buy should make you happy.
"That's why I like this shoe - it's a very happy shoe; a perfect shoe for the slightly gloomy current climate," he added. "I promise that if you put that shoe on you will feel fabulous. You need to treat yourself to something amazing from time to time."

IT wasn't just the launch of her autumn/winter 2010-11 Jezebel collection that Jade Jagger was celebrating during London Fashion Week. Following the opening of her first standalone boutique in London's Notting Hill last November, the designer has plans to set up another shop further afield.

"The shop in London has been doing really well so I have decided to open another boutique in India as I spend so much of my time there anyway," Jagger tells today's Daily Telegraph. "It will be similar to my shop in London, dresses, jewellery - it's very exciting."

Jagger was joined by Lindsay Lohan, James Jagger and Ed Simons from the Chemical Brothers and her DJ boyfriend Dan Williams at the launch of her new season collection last week.

THE menswear shows pulled in quite the front row crowd yesterday as London Fashion Weekcame to a close, following a week of catwalk collections and presentations.

Kate Moss took to the front row of James Small's show (as had been the rumour), while Billie Piper sat front row at Wintle and Janet Jackson took her seat at A Child of the Jago - where she promptly got snapped with Vivienne Westwood. The show was quite the family affair with Ben Westwood, brother of Joe Corre (one half of the Jago label with Simon Armitage), taking to the catwalk.

Meanwhile, having received NEWGEN sponsorship for their shows this season, Carolyn Massey, James Long, J.W Anderson and Christopher Shannon gave us looks that ranged from preppy (Massey), to pixelated paisley sportswear (Shannon), and gorgeous coats and jumpers that girlfriends will want to steal (Long).

At the MAN show, we saw neon and acid brights on urban anoraks, parkas and belted trenchcoats, as well as punk-gothic leather looks and ensembles that incorporated drums for headwear and drumsticks for neckwear.
